Arts, Media, and Entertainment

A Linked Learning pathway built for the 21st century offering students the opportunity to explore and learn in the areas of Multimedia, Photography, Film, and Theater. Working with the latest in industry standards for video and photography, students will apply techniques from the latest software and produce content that prepares them for college and career.

Horticulture Arts
(Eco-Technology)

A Linked Learning pathway providing an opportunity for students to develop skills in the floral industry through a variety of activities. Students are introduced to the elements and principles of visual art design such as line, shape/form, color, balance, and emphasis using a series of floral-based projects to explore the connections, relations, and application to visual arts design. Students research and study floral trends to understand and develop an appreciation for floral design within historical and cultural, formal and casual, ceremonial and traditional contexts, including an understanding that floral designs are affected by society, culture, history, politics, and economic influence.

Hoover Public Service

Public Service

A Linked Learning and LAPSEN-accredited pathway offering students career opportunities in the exciting and dynamic industries of Firefighting, Emergency Medical Services, Criminal Justice, and Government Agencies. Students will have the opportunity to interact and train with professionals in the public service fields.

Hoover Construction

Construction Technology

This program provides individualized instruction for developing the competency skills and knowledge necessary to enter the field of residential and light commercial construction. Students will also be eligible to receive college credit through Dual Enrollment.

Teacher Academy

Teacher Academy

Teacher Academy develops and supports high school students through their journey of becoming quality educators. It exposes students to a career in education by offering real-world learning opportunities that allow students to learn through meaningful work-based experiences including internships, employment, and/or school-based enterprises. This program outlines the steps to becoming a successful educator and provides a clear bridge to employment. By participating in the Teacher Academy program, students:

  • Can earn college units
  • Are eligible for a position as a paraprofessional with FUSD upon high school graduation
  • Gain field experience working with children
  • Participate in community service learning
  • Have an opportunity to take the NCLB and CBEST exams
  • Receive priority consideration for Fresno Unified’s Pipeline to Teaching Programs

Linked Learning Silver Certification

Linked Learning Silver Certification is a standard of excellence for college and career preparation. We have achieved Silver Certification by demonstrating that our pathways have integrated academics with career-themed coursework, feature meaningful work-based learning, and include effective supports for students.

LAPSEN Accredited Program

Law and Public Safety Education Network (LAPSEN) National Accreditation is a high school accreditation process designed to recognize and promote exemplary Law and Public Safety (LPS) programs. Accredited programs demonstrate competencies across several standards in the course of a year and receive a “stamp of excellence” which represents the apex of program quality.
